Abstract: This talk will look at what types of intonational contours are being produced from the ages of 12 months to 28 months in Spanish and Catalan speaking children. It presents and discusses the variety of intonational contours of the children and when and if there is a "jump" in the intonational development. Finally, the talk will look at to what extent the intonational development is correlated to the grammatical development, specifically the two-word stage.
